We hung a sign on the door.
He gave me a sign to leave the room.
There are signs of sales increasing.
The policeman signed me to stop.
正:The policeman signed to [for] me to stop.
Have you signed (your name on) the cheque?
正:Have you signed (your name to) the cheque?
正:Have you signed (on) the cheque?
误:Have you signed your name in the cheque?
误:Have you signed in the cheque?
The document bore his signature.
We need signatures and we haven’t got enough of them.
